When executing the DPLL algorithm we can maintain a so-called conflict graph. We can use this graph to deduce the variables that lead to the conflict.In Conflict-Driven Clause Learning different SAT solvers apply different techniques to extract new \emph{learned} clauses from this graph.
The learned clauses help the SAT solver from repeating mistakes in different execution branches.
